I'm in Minneapolis MN and I've never seen a huge bug like this. Does anybody know what it is? That's a fly in its mouth for scale.

Robber fly, has some interesting sexual biology about how the male will give gifts to the female so he can mate with her. And if he can get away with it, regift a big enough gift so he fuck all the bitches.
