When a cat gets its claws stuck and then starts beeping, growling, or screaming, is it a panic reaction or is it actually caused by pain? My cat constantly gets stuck and I want to know if the screaming is because of excruciating pain or just an instinct that kicks in when she is trapped.

Does he always panic when getting a specific set of claws stuck or regardless whether its the right or the left one? Mine just wiggles until he frees himself

Sounds like pain to me. It wouldn't make much sense to have an instinct to start screaming when you're stuck as a solitary predator. Why don't you just clip her nails regularly or get those things to cover them? That should fix the problem.
