So, I don't usually browse /an/ but I'm guess you guys are the people to ask. I was out in my backyard cleaning up when I found this little grubby thing near one of my tree stumps I haven't dug out yet. Anyone have any idea what it is or what kind of bug it turns into?
I live in Northern Ohio if that helps at all.
Looks like a rhinoceros beetle larvae.
Phyllophaga spp
They usually lives under the soil and are bad for the roots of the plants cause they feed themselves out of it.

Thanks bro. Glad to hear it's just a baby beetle and not a pest like a baby horsefly or something. I've never seen Rhinocerous beetles around here but we do get Stag Beetles sometimes, although I only ever find them dead on the sidewalk, only saw a live one once. Thanks!

If it crawls on its belly, kill it.
If it crawls on its back, raise it.
