I need help identifying what bit me. I've been sick for 7 years since getting bitten. What I know about the bug:

>Maine woods near lake
>Probably a fly of some kind
>Flying, black color, round. Thumbnail size or larger
>More than one, persistent, followed me as I ran
>Bite was not painful
>Didn't see what kind of mark it left, if any

Symptoms:
>Dizziness for 3 days, then fainting
>In years after fainting, had heart palpitations, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea
>No joint pain and negative for Lyme

pic unrelated

go see a fucking doctor instead of asking 4chan you fucking retard
>>
>>2435873
I've been to dozens of doctors. They wouldn't know what bit me. They're not bug experts.
>>
>>2435871
Ticks are vectors for several other conditions with similar symptoms to what you described: anaplasmosis, babesiosis, ehrlichosis, and most interestingly Powassan encephalitis which can cause residual neurological problems in people who recover from the initial infliction.
>>
>>2435877
Thanks for the leads! I'm looking into them now. I didn't find any ticks on myself at the time, but I guess it could've fallen off.
>>
>>2435871
It didn't bite you. Only things like ticks can bite and you not feel it or leave a mark. Your problem doesn't have anything to do with insects at all.
>>
>>2435928
I think I felt a bite, but I'm not sure due to how long ago it was. I didn't think to check for a mark, so I can't rule it out (if there was one, it didn't itch).

The timing was just a big coincidence. All this started the night of or day after the bugs. The only other thing that happened during that time was getting the hpv vaccine 1-2 weeks before, but that's even more unlikely.

I know I sound crazy, but doctors can't help me, so I'm trying to follow every avenue on my own. I'm in my 20's and use a walker. I want to turn over every stone.
>>
>>2435935
Its the hpv vaccine. Many such cases. Sad!
>>
Something like sleeping sickness?
>>
>>2435939
I thought so too at first because of the huge number of complaints. A huge study was released last month showing no correlation. I couldn't find who funded the study, though. It just seems to have closed that door...

>>2435940
My symptoms don't quite match up. Don't have fever, joint pain, or swollen lymph nodes.
>>
Bump in case anyone else has ideas.
>>
What a weird fucking thread. You some some kind of health issue unrelated to random flies you saw.
>>
>>2436654
Jw why does it seem implausible? The symptoms are similar to tick borne illnesses, and ticks aren't the only insect that spread disease.
>>
If you want someone to help you should have said where you live or where you were when it all started.
>>
What do your doctors say about your condition? What is your treatment(s) for?
>>
>>2436743
It's in the OP. Maine

>>2436745
They said I have post-viral syndrome. They can't say if the original virus was from the bugs, but they seemed to think it was possible. There's no known treatment, because there's been hardly any research about it.

I was given something to raise my blood pressure, but it makes me more sick. Antivirals won't do anything, because the virus has presumably left after destroying the immune system. I don't expect a miracle cure by posting here but am just trying to find out what I can. There's no doctor that has the time to carefully look at and think about my case. I can do my own research if I can determine the insect.

Dont worry it will get better in time

I once suffered a massive allergic reaction to a anti biotic and was hospitalized for weeks.

When I came out, i had alopecia for a a few years and when I got sick, it was like amplified 5x. Also i became allergic to: soy wheat corn and many many other foods

3 years passed by and my hair is all grown back and im only in tolerant to soy now, clogs me up instead of giving me hives, everything else went away.

Tf breaking into hives for just eating a basic sammy

Im glad im back go normal, you will be back to normal one day to Op, have hope
>>
>>2436809
Thanks. I needed that. It's been so bad. I'm allergic to nearly every antibiotic now too. I'm really happy for you that you're better and hope the soy intolerance clears up for you as well.

Try also asking on /adv/, I don't know how helpful they'll be
You can also ask on reddit, go to something like www.reddit.com/r/advice and either ask directly about this problem or ask where an appropriate place would be to talk about your problem
It would obviously help if you had a picture of the bug, how good are you at drawing? If you get color and shape and size down, that would help a lot
>>
>>2437093
/adv/ isn't going to know shit but if it was a tick, ask around Lyme disease forums even though you tested negative. They might have some advice since they have similar symptoms.
>>
7 YEARS? damn op that really sucks. Hope you find out what you've got man
>>
>>2435942
There's so much bad science around these days. Don't write off that the vaccine may have caused some sort of issue.
>>
>>2437133
I've tried /adv/, but the thread necroed almost immediately. I'll try reddit. Thanks for telling me which subreddit. I don't think I remember the bug in great enough detail to do it justice. I'd know it if I saw a photo of it, I think. I'll probably look into photos.

>>2437136
Alright, good idea.

>>2437214
Thanks. I wish I didn't go outside that month.

>>2437580
I'll keep an open mind, thank you.

/an/ has been so helpful.
>>
>>2437580
Don't write off that this poster is an anti-vaxx mongoloid, either.
>>
>>2437716
That fucking sucks, OP. It really does suck when doctors just don't know what the fuck is wrong with you. Hopefully you'll recover eventually, and even in the off chance that you don't: there's thousands and thousands of people who persevere through all sorts of illnesses, chronic illnesses, terminal illnesses, and disabilities. It certainly wouldn't be the end for you, OP.
Also, i'm assuming you've already seen specialists and more than just your regular doctor, but if you haven't, I'd reccomend it. If you can actually afford it, that is.

>>2439070
I was vaccinated for the flu and now I have autism and outside cats. How can you deny the hard evidence against vaccines, anon?
