do dogs count as animals ?
>>2433775
dogs are definitely people
>>2433753
can I keep a pet nigger then
>>2433753
RIp
Hey guys what if there were these plants that could make a type of food called "fruit". And for the fruit to form, a small creature (insane, I know) would have to FLY around and transmit small particles between the plants.
Sorry I better lay off all these drugs lol
>>2433825
You really should.
>>2433825
Tfw no seven legged purple Chinese man with glowing horns to run around delivering Dixie cups full of my semen to cuties around the globe.
>>2433753
I was just thinking about this earlier, do you think we'll ever get to the point we live in giant megacities like in those 80s animes where it's just wall to wall neon and concrete without a tree or animal in sight?
>>2434274
Not really, no. I feel like most of those cities were drawn that way to make it feel as alien and inhumane as possible. City planners these days actually make an effort to set aside green space. Even New York City closed down an elevated train line and planted plants along it to turn it into a new park.
>>2434274
No.
Most for fire safety issues. Because if you live on the 2000th floor and anything happens, both you and the firefighters are basically screwed.
Then again these futuristic movies have flying cars, which solves the problem. Which also means if you want to go to a park, you can just fly there.

>hellhole
*utopia
Then we wouldn't exist
>>2433753
Isn't that what happens in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep / Bladerunner? Like, most animals are fake and to get a real one costs a lot of money which Deckard wants.
>>2434402
>Muh good genes
>Muh white huritage
>>2434411
But we do?
Fuck vegans and their protests. They want prisons. We are eating criminals, not children. It's a waste of money and crueler to just lock people up.
>>2434593
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Besides, meat tastes better than chlorella and yeast.
>>2434274
MrBtongue says: "What do they eat?"
>>2434737
Yeast and miscellaneous algae. Also quorn.
>>2434252
What are you referencing?
>>2434509
You will hang with your pet monkeys when the Day of the Rope comes.
>>2435162
Quorn is pretty good my dude
>>2436609
Meat has more flavor, though.
>>2434363
but by that time probably nothing will be flammable, so no more built-in fire hazards. It wouldn't surprise me if anything flammable was illegal inside a building. Apart from people and the hydroponics.
They better have flying cars by then. I was promised flying cars.
>>2433753
we can't, are you stupid ?
>>2433753
Lack of contact with animals will cause some serious mental quirks to proliferate, and can only exacerbate the furry problem. This must never happen.
>>2436614
You're right, but I feel guilty eating meat and quorn is the best non-meat alternative. If we're talking a speculative far-future system without livestock or meat, I'm sure there would be a solution relatively equivalent to current meat. I'm sure you've heard of recent experiments with culturing real meat using stem cells.
>>2434444
All large species are extinct, food is artificial, grown from algae, and even artificial animals, which are mechanical in the book and engineered lifeforms in the movie(s) cost well beyond the means of a policeman. In the book he has some kind of robotic sheep but it's like a Walmart model and obviously fake.
>>2434411
this
>TFW you want a Robo-Ostrich
>TFW you can only afford some shitty Robo-Sheep
Shit, guys. I should have moved to the moon while I till had the chance
>>2436606
so, essentially never
