Talk about pet stores
Bull shit
Who else took their doggos for free ice cream at PetSmart today
the ones that sell puppies make me sad

I worked today and I didn't hear or see anything about this.

There's a petstore where they sell good quality foods you don't find in supermarkets, staff's nice. Another has a huge selection of toys and leashes and harnesses and collars. Both are okay with you taking dogs in. It's okay.
I have an interview at a pet store today. Let's call it Petsfart.

Good luck. IF there's anyone who will be knowledgeable and helpful, it's gonna be you.
>>2433088
Thank you! That's my goal.

It was at the pet hotel thing inside PetSmart for national ice cream day in the US. IDK why we Americans like to make up random holidays but hey
When I was a kid, I remember the nearby pet store having a fish tank in the back corner of the store full of dead, decomposing, falling-apart little fish. I'm still afraid to go into the fish section of any pet store.
Well guys, I got the job at PetSmart. How do I avoid being seen as one of those pet store chain employees that doesn't know anything?

by knowing things

When someone asks you a question you don't know, instead of pulling it out of your ass and making stuff up, tell them you don't know but you'll go find out.
>>2433453
I can do that
>>2432785
dairy queen does that every day
>>2432771
>>2432785
I did.
He stopped and looked at anyone walking in, but licked it good.

Become a specialist. Become invested in one of the more obscure pets, like a sun conure or a guinea pig and learn as much as you can about that animal through experience and digging through the internet. Don't neglect having base level knowledge of all the products and organisms you have there, but if you become the resident "expert" you'll have more upward mobility later one and you can form better connections with customers who trust your expertise. Good way to network.
t. friends with petco/petsmart employees who ended up accidentally becoming "experts"
>>2433161
Ah, that makes sense, then, since my store doesn't have a PetHotel or Banfield.
>>2433613
It's pretty painful to think that conures and guinea pigs can be considered "exotic," but that's about as good as it gets at PetSmart.

80% of fucking vets don't know what to do with guinea pigs. I lost a guinea pig because the vet didn't have a clue what was wrong with her.
