Guys! We gotta call quick or we'll never get the free Elephants issue!
>waking up at 7am to watch the discovery channel show lions eat zebras before school
I remember when animal planet used to be about animals
>>2432463
it was less than a year
I asked for these consistently for ten years and I never got them. Instead I still and hide encyclopedias from the public library.
I vaugely remember Big Cat Diary airing the morning before it was all reruns. Or maybe they were still reruns. I don't remember many morning cartoons up until the 2000s and by then I mostly missed the bus watching Buffy.
but wait, there's more!
>tfw sister has a sticker album with the most beautifully glittering animal stickers
>tfw you can't start one otherwise it would be awkward as dude
>>2432492
It's not weird. I don't go out of my way for stickers but if you have a decent vacuum (that you aren't replacing constantly) it's a good place for stickers if you're worried about people seeing them.
I think having an actual sticker album is weird but I don't want to have to peel that shit off my car or walls all the time. As I kid I'd put them on my giant-ass mirror and dresser.
Old World monkeys made me think there was an ancient monkey civilization or something with wise ancient apes that humans never made contact with or even knew about until after they went extinct.
I had a Ranger Rick magazine subscription as a kid. It was great.
Getting one of those in the mail used to be the highlight of the week
Oh my God. I hadn't thought about these in years. Thanks for the momentary nostalgia, OP.
Anybody have this one?

>those zoobook comercials back in the early 2000s

>Wake up at 6 to get ready early so I can spend an hour watching animal planet when it came back on at 7
For a long time it used to be just infomercials until 7 but they probably have shows running all day now
>>2432638
Got one of those in a garage sale when I was a kid
>>2432466
It started going downhill a very long time ago. That So Cute! Show actually makes me sick.
>>2432562
I don't think I ever got the subscription but I could con my mom into buying one at the store once in a while. They were pretty cool

Fuck yeah! Came here to post these if nobody else had. My grandma signed me up for that shit when I was a kid, and it went on for a few years. Every month I would get new pack in the mail, it was like Christmas. Then one day they just stopped sending them but kept billing my grandma, so she cancelled the subscription, which left me moderately salty. But I had, like, eight full binders of them.

all mine fell apart a decade ago, I just go by what I can find on google images nowadays

>less than a year
no it fucking wasn't
it's been trash for at least the last 6 years and the spiral started immediately after steve irwin's death
Kid me: “Mom! Can you buy me a zoobook? I love animals.”
Mom (while smoking a cigarette): “Oh you like animals? Then why don't you go clean up the dog shit in the backyard?”
According to my mom I could rattle off every single animal in this book
