I recommend getting a pair-bonded set. They will keep each other company and groom each other.

Just be warned, you need to keep your house (or at least the room you're in) at no higher than 75 degrees. Like that is the absolute highest temp. If you keep them in a hotter environment, they WILL get sick.

Chinchillas come from the Andes mountains. They are built for cool to cold weather
