There's a baby seagull with a broken leg outside my apartment complex, will it make it? Should I do something about it?
Last time I reported an injured baby seagull the local wild animal rescue came and euthanized it.
Euthanizing it would be better than starving and dying from exposure to elements in crippling pain due to it's injury.
Parents are probably still around feeding it. I've seen tons of one legged seagulls. Put on some good boots and climb around to see where the nest is to put it back. Or just leave it in case the parents are around, or let people come and euthanize it.
The parents attack me when I try to get near it. Also the nest is up on the roof, so there's no way I'm getting it back up there. It probably got injured falling down from there (4 stories up) in the first place.

Take it out from a distance with a .22 rifle. It's a garbage birb.
Just let nature take its course, no matter what direction that may be.
I'd report it if i were you, even if they did euthanize it, it's probably for the best
Still report it. Maybe they'll take it, maybe they'll euthanize it. Either way is better than a slow, painful death.

It's not going to make it.
This is just the way things go sometimes. It got unlucky.

I saw an adult seagull at the beach a month or two ago with a completely mangled leg. Like the insides, whatever was left, was just danging out. It seemed to be getting by.
Still pretty fucked that animal "rescue" organizations are in such a rush to kill the animals they are supposed to protect that it even causes hesitation amongst people because you just never know if you call them if you're giving the animal an early death or actually helping it.

Fuck off. Most places are not well staffed or funded. Why waste time, money and resources on an abundant and/or invasive species? Hand rearing babies is time consuming, and manhandling wild and injured animals is a lot of pain and stress on the animal. It's nicer to euthanize than let them suffer when there are other animals that need that time and resources and have a better chance of making through it.

Throw it
