I've met several bro-tier chihuahua's. The fact that they're shitty 99% of the time is, in my opinion, almost always the owner's fault.

They're high energy, but also small, so most of the owners *cough*irresponsible mexicans*cough* don't bother training/correcting them. Because they're not really a threat, they think they can let them get away with shit.

If someone let a retriever or Shepard pull that shit, it'd be put down in a second. Since they're basically cats, no one gives a shit. The few I've met that were with responsible owners where awesome, but most people who aren't complete garbage get bigger dogs, so 99% of them are shit.

My Chihuahua is the most chill dog ever, never barks, not super hyper, listens to me, seriously the best dog ever. I can tell him to lay down and he will find a blanket and curl up inside and fall asleep, best dog I have ever owned so far.

I have a chi mix. She just be mixed with something a little bigger because she is a sturdy little dog (about 20 pounds). She is super duper friendly and pretty quiet. She can be really hyper though, but it's more these bursts of random energy.

Some neighbours have a black chi/pug mix (IIRC? A small squished face breed) literally called Gollum.
Apparently his only talent is that he always comes instantly when called and stays around a little. They never leash him, just open the door and let him run around, and call him if he gets too close to the road or something.

I think one of my mutts is a chi mix, since she has the weird bug eyes and ability to make endless smug faces. She's probably mixed with something else since she's a decent size for a small dog (she's nearly 20 pounds and the vet says her weight is perfect).

She's a good girl. Really goofy, always super happy, just wants belly rubs all day. She can be a little hyper though.

Chihuahuas are just bootleg cats.

Yeah, every now and then you see super chill obedient chihuahuas.
One time I remember was when I was riding the bus in SF. Owner came in with chihuahua, sat down and the chi hopped on his lap. Stayed still for the entire ride. When he was about to get up, he just gave a sign to the dog who hopped from his lap and they left.
Was one of those 'deer head' chihuahuas, too.

fyi their dog is still very friendly at 13 years old with a heart murmur and had some teeth pulled. their lifespan depends on how much you're willing to spend at the vet and if you train them to behave.

I heard it comes down to the "line" they are from. Some are more aggressive than others.

My stepmum had one for years that was an evil weasel of a dog that was the bane of everyones existence. She got a second after he eventually died (fuckers can really hang on) and this one is chill as fuck and loves attention.
