The cactus belonged to the previous owners of the place I moved to. It still could've happened while I lived here. I didn't notice the face for a while, because it was on the back of the cactus.

Its a prickly pear, throw it out and get an actual species

You can clone it just cut off a viable piece and bury it it will start sprouting a whole new cactus

yes you have to throw away the "face" and the "ears".
or grow a new one from seed, they grow really fast. you'll have a bigger one in 2 years.
