I found this moth free-loading in my room.
Long story short, my roommate and I have decided to capture it and even made it a little habitat.
To better its habitat, we need to know what kind of moth it is. Pls help /an/
We're in Wisconsin and he's 3.5cm long.

Just let it go, you can't keep a fucking moth captive, it's just going to beat itself to death/starve.

Is this bait?
You can't keep moths captive. If it's a female it just sits in a spot and waits for a male to fertilize her and then flies off to lay eggs.
If it's a male it flies around in search of a female, following hormones in the air.
In both cases their lifespans are days to weeks. Many don't eat anything and just starve.
