I live in Arizona. My dog lives indoors this time of year, but he still appears to be getting dehydrated. Any ideas to entice him to drink more?
Feed him homemade food or canned wet food. Dogs have historically gotten much of their daily water through eating scraps of meat, not dry, processed food.
Get a water bowl that makes the water flow. Dogs have a natural aversion to drinking from still pools. Obviously doesn't mean they won't do it, but they won't do it as readily.
He gets canned food once a day and I do have a fountain water bowl.

Then I got nothing. Sorry, dude.
You can try soaking his dry food with water, or even lactose-free milk (count calories, obviously), but I've read mixed opinions on that. That's all else I know, aside from keep him cool.
Don't hesitate to take him in for an IV if you're really worried about him. They're relatively cheap, IIRC.
Best of wishes to you and your dog.
Thanks

>he still appears to be getting dehydrated
Why do you think this? Is it because he breathes hard? Is pic related your dog?
Mix water into your dry dog food.

When my dog was having stomach problems I put her food in some water and used some "broth" from boiling chicken/chicken bones and put small amounts of it in her water for a couple of days to make sure she drank enough. Helped a lot. Also, ice cubes and water dense fruit for snacks. If you don't already have a cooling mat, they REALLY help cool dogs down.

You could also make some frozen doggie treats with a lot of water in them, there's a lot of those on youtube.
