Just thought I'd ask in case it was something simple, vet isn't cheap. Whatever it is it doesn't seem to bother him at all.

Cat owner here, its an internal infection, the vet will have to extract the blood from It and you will have to apply some cream or liquid on It for a couple of weeks.

OP here, bit late replying, but it was a cyst. Doc drained and flushed it and gave him a shot of antibiotics and cortisone.

Happens with homestuck cat if you don't declaw them sometimes. I would suggest to declaw all your cats, it is good for them.

He's indoor/outdoor and I live in the country so he definitely needs his claws.

My mom's cat occasionally got cancer that we always thought was a cyst, and now she's a tripod because she developed a tumor in her bone.
