So, anyone know where to get some of these in the United States? They seem to be exoit even in the UK, but are just flat out impossible to find in the US.
I couldn't find any laws against them. But, I can't find any active breeders. I spent about 3 hours last night trying to find any steppe lemmings for sale at all, and came up with nothing after combing over exotic breeders and importers from all over.

Don't know how many of these have lemmings, but this site has state-by-state listings of exotic rodent breeders.

And in case you're in the Buffalo/Western NY area, these guys are based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They say they're out for the season, but I don't know how up-to-date this site is. (Of course, they may not be in business anymore.)

Good luck! (They say steppe lemmings tend to escape from normal mouse/hamster cages though.)
Why? I'm not against exotics, but there's so many different exotic rodents you can get and they just look and act like hamsters.
