Any ideas on how I can help the little guy any further? Plan to head to a lake later this afternoon, but that would be certain death for a chick his/her size. Little thing was jumping at my window (basement window ditch).

Ducklings grow up really fast. If you can keep it for maybe 6 weeks- 2 months it will be big and strong enough to take care of itself at the lake.
It looks old enough to eat and drink on its own. soggy cereal or bread should be ok, just dunk it in water first. no fancy stuff. Good luck little ducky!
