I saw this animal by the lake's shore in Toronto. I don't ever post on this board but I just want to know what it is. I think it's a mink but perhaps someone else knows better

Looks like a feret..maybe someone abandonned it.
>>2401756
Do ferrets chase seagulls?
>>2401756
And it could swim . I don't know anything about ferrets or minks
>>2401759
I had two ferrets, they would chase a fighter jet if they thought they could catch it. Wouldn't surprise me if they went after some birds
Minks are larger than that aren't they? Then again I've never seen a brown ferret. Definitely some sort of mustelid. Maybe a regular weasel?
Possibly a fishercat. It's tough to tell from this picture.

It was at night and I had to be lucky enough to get it to go near a street light
>>2401785
My friend thought it was an otter or ferret but like I said I've never seen anything like this before
>>2401781
Do they hunt the birds or just chase them for fun? This thing seemed as if it wanted to eat the seagulls
Sure looks like a mink to me. Did it have a white chin?
>>2401797
They'd probably kill it, I always fed mine raw chicken so itd pretty likely they'd have a nibble

The tape is their for your protection from him.
>>2401859
Yes it did
>>2401868
Yea I figured it would be unwise to get too close to a thing i don't know, even if it is the size of a weasel. The tape was there as a fun coincidence.
were these taken at marie curtis park
