What happened to this poor snail? Can you give him a fake shell?

He's in the slug larval stage, anon.
Slug general?

Wow, OneDrive fucked that one up and rotated it for the upload. Fine on every other device.

Always thought Leopard slugs were cool growing up (fastest slug type, aggressive and territorial, cannibalistic, cool colors that can vary like a ball python) but you can't really just "bring" one home and I never had a bucket with em at all times. Randomly was sitting on my back deck one night last November and saw one crawling towards my door like a refugee.
Let it crawl onto a leaf then transported it to a temporary shelter, then a proper fishtank terrarium. It has it's little hidey cave that it goes back to every time it sleeps. I'll wake up with the food gone and it tucked in the cave. It actually laid eggs about a month ago, and I raised about 7 them and have all but 2 left (I think they were eating eachother and let most of them go outside)
Leopard Slugs can live like 3 years apparently.
It's a cool pet. I have a couple milipedes and woodlice and a worm or two in there too to help clean up the slug poop as they feed on it and the dead leaves.

They probably ate each other because they need more protein. They don't do well on a pure vegetarian diet.

Sheit. Gonna feed em mainly banana then, it has protes.

animal protein m8, give them some smaller snails or slugs to hunt, or if you don't want that flake food for fish or (better) dried Gammarus
