There's two types of labs. American and English. English labs have boxier heads, thicker bodies, ,and shorter noses. American labs are slimmer, with longer heads with more curved features.

Sounds like food aggression, resource guarding and sensitivity. Dogs are often very sensitive in their feet, often due to bad experiences with nail clipping. You may need to first train some other things like sit and stay.
This is a good video to introduce yourself to some of the behavior to look for in food aggression

If your dog is severely food aggressive, you may have to start on this a bit just so your dog doesn't maul you when you have food

Another vid for training, but it's not from the beginning. May be a bit advanced

I would reccomend doing these throughout the dog's life to reaffirm the good behavior and trust once you trained the dog out of the food aggression

And for the sensitivity, you want to get the dog to associate it's feet being touched with great things
