Hello /an/, My mom wish to get a doggo in the next years (No hurry) And I thought you guys could help my parents choose the dog breed. Here are the criterias.
>Nothing TOO Big (Dalmatian or smaller)
>Minimum 40-45 Lbs (My dad doesn't want "Handbag Rats")
>Short hair, We have carpet and don't desire fur everywhere
>Must be balanced in terms of exercise requirement (not require constant attention without being a full time "couch potato"
> Not a dog breed you only hear about on Slovakian Seal painting forums.
>Loving
>Something that can be trained to obey.
Please respond.

This literally fits all of your criteria. Don't post again if your mom vetoes it because it isn't cute enough

Labrador Retriever.
It's a cliched response for a reason, they're the shit.

Labs shed everywhere all year and the individual hairs are invasive. You will never get all of the hair out of the carpet. You'll find lab hair inside ball-point pens and other sealed items. Better hope your outfit matches the fur color.
Dalmation hair isn't quite as bad as far as shedding volume goes, but it's sharp and will embed itself in things. Like your bare feet.
Go with the greyhound.

Ive seen you say that before on here, and I honestly have never seen this, or have heard other people say the hair is "sharp".
Regardless, Dalmatians she'd moderately all year long, IMHO they shed more than other dogs, and since the hair is white it is really visible.
OP there are several reasons not to get a Dalmatian, but if hair is an issue than I would definitely not get one.
Just go to a shelter and pick out a friendly mutt. You're seeking very reasonable traits so you shouldn't have much trouble
