It is actually a relative of the first domesticated goats, that arrived in the island through sea trade back on the Minoan era from Middle East more than 8000 years ago, and escaped in the wild.
Therefore is considered as the link between ibexes/wild goats and modern domesticated goats.

In Texas, we have an animal called the armadillo. It's the most aggressive animal in the land. When approaching an armadillo, you must present it with berries, otherwise it will attack. And armadillos can run at speeds of 45 mph for distances up to 1/2 mile. If it catches up to you, it will leap and attach to your back, biting at your neck until you go down. Then, it will call for other armadillos to feast until your carcass is stripped of all flesh.

Texasfag reporting in.
That's a blatant lie, and following this advice will get you killed. Although they won't eat anything larger than a turnip, the danger lies within the deadly combination of their hard as iron shell, and their ability to roll themselves into balls. Once in ball form, a threatened armadillo can fire itself toward you at speeds reaching 150mph. It is very easy for this creature to shatter bones, and even cause enough blunt force trauma to kill if they manage to hit any of your vital organs. In order to avoid being attacked by these beautiful creatures, is to hum the song "Deep in the Heart of Texas" until you're a safe distance away from it.
