Trypophobia? My girlfriend has it bad and she likes cat bus. But I think it's because catbus doesn't look like a realistic cat and the windows aren't made of a mesh of tiny holes, which is more inclined to set it off for trypophobes

That thing is easy to "heal". Pics with dead meat or bodies full of worms picking out. It's disgusting but makes the connection why unwanted holes on a perfectly normal surface are scary. People just don't like death.

I actually tried doing exposure therapy like you described last night. It did not work in the slightest. She had a full on panic attack to the point the sight of the stuffed bear in pic related set her off when I was trying to calm her back down.
That and fear of water with no visible bottom are the two things we need to work on because it's absolutely debilitating for her.
