Sight hounds are shit. My buddy was trying to breed a "better" coonhound, tried a couple time breeding his redbones to a greyhound and got the most worthless pups you could imagine.

He never did get a better coondog, but he had a Lacey pitbull cross that got in with the neighbors bluetick. He ended up giving away all the pups but one as pets and wouldn't you know it that turned out to be the smartest fucking dog you've ever seen. Really wish I could have got pups out of her, but she never bred. She was the best bay dog I ever got to hunt with.

Yeah. I'm not a big fan of these dogs because I feel that dog-fighting is too ingrained in them, and I think they're frequently being marketed to people who can't necessarily handle them. However, the videos that show their athletic capabilities are still impressive. I think it's great if people can figure out harmless ways to entertain these dogs. Like for example all those videos where pitbulls jump at a tire or a rope that's hanging from a tree and latch onto it, keeping themselves suspended in the air with nothing but their jaws; they get to bite stuff and show their strength, without hurting anyone.
