Someone brought me this little guy here yesterday. I fed him a fly, some sugar water and a tiny bit of a meat stick for cats.
I thought he wouldn't make it through the night but he did and now he's way more lively and hungry.
Problem is, I got no Insects to feed him with (just a tiny amount of aphids) and one of the only ones I had left, a hoverfly, he couldn't or didn't want to swallow.
Frozen Insects will arive at thursday if I'm lucky, the weather is shit, so I can't catch much.
Will the little guy survive on cat snacks and sugar water for three days?
Any other Ideas?

Birds need vitamin a especially
You need to find a bird formula, oatmealy consistency, what are u waiting for call a vet!
Thanks, you two.
At least the protein and fat of the snacks seem to fit according to that site.
>call a vet
Plan is to organize a drive into civilisation and hand that little guy over to someone who knows what he's doing as soon as possible.

Buy fishing bait nightcrawlers if they are sold near you
Even dried mealworms or other small insects from a pet store would be better than nothing
I just got done raising an orphaned hatching. Dry, crushed cat food soaked in water until it's a spongy consistency, not dripping. Feed every 15 minutes from sunrise to sunset with rounded tweezers. Do not feed liquids.
Most rehab centers tell people to not feed them anything before you bring them in because most people will do them more harm than good. I'm glad you're taking it to a professional (if putting it back in a nest isn't an option), but from the picture it looks like a house sparrow. Most places won't accept it because it's an invasive species, so be prepared for plans B, C, ect.

Let nature run its course.
You're just prolonging the inevitable unless you plan on caring for it throughout its entire life.
