They're very pretty, but they don't act like dogs at all. They only allow themselves to be pet when they feel like it and are often aloof and distant, even to their owners. The forest is nearby to my apartment. a lot of ppl come here with dogs. And i work at home, he can run with me a lot of time if he needs.

I don't get it. /an/ always says shibas are assholes and never listen and stuff, but then everywhere else says they're real smart and stuff and are good companions as long as you take them outside to play a lot.

You have to add more conditions: you need to be consistent in training the dog, don't let it have its way just because it's friggin cute. That's very hard for a lot of people.
You need them to have some mental excercise too, training tricks with clickers or some other dog sports. It's not just playing around a lot. They get bored really fast and won't play tag for more than 3 rounds.
If you don't do all that you will have a nippy dog that never comes when you call it.

Shona onus are aggressive and aloof. I wouldn't recommend getting one. If you don't have a lot of room, try getting a French bulldog or a mini Australian Shepherd. Those are both good smallish dogs for inexperienced owners. The are usually fun, loving and not too energetic.

OP here. Thanks for information /an. Maybe shiba is a bad choice for a first dog eva. And now I read about their characters. Like samurai or something like this. Not good, even if I have forest nearby my house and can spend a lot of time with "doge".

I've own mine for about 12 years now, they differ greatly and heavily depend on who your getting one off, what age, how you bring them up etc.

Mine is very loving and generally loves being hugged and cuddled with but again, they all differ
