is this a real bird or a shoop? I didn't think it was possible to tame these birds or legal to keep them as pets or have them in a public space like this.
>>
looks pretty authentic to me, I know more about parrots though
the leash also suggests it's real

Ravens get pretty big, man.

Crows are illegal to keep in the US, but I don't think the same applies to ravens.
>>
>>2370953
Ravens are illegal to keep too unless you live in a state that allows you to keep a non-native raven species like the African white-necked raven.
>>
>>2370954
so someone could carry these giant hell birds on public transit?

>hell birds

fuck off, corvids are cute and smart as hell
>>
>>2370955
The bird in the pic looks like a common raven and the text on the subway seems to indicate a Russian-speaking country. You're not likely to see anybody keeping a common raven in the states and all the commonly kept non-native species of corvids are smaller than common ravens. Russia has loose restrictions on keeping exotic animals and has a large Goth subculture so that's where the photo is likely from.
>>
>>2370961
I didn't notice the text thanks. should have guessed by homeboy on the lefts weird shoes that it wasn't in the US.

I don't think you are correct, although I do see the Russian D in the smaller text. What country interchanges Cyrillic and Latin alphabets on their public transit?
>>
>>2371005
That's obviously a wifi network name.
>>
>>2371005
Every big city ever uses both native and english on their public transit. Search says it's Moscow.
>>
This makes me angry
>>
we need to consult charlie kelly expert in bird law.
>>

You see a lot of weird shit in public transit. Last time I was in NYC some guy had an almost full grown albino Burmese python and no one was even looking.

The U.S. and Canada, and maybe even Mexico, share a treaty that bans keeping, or harming, native migratory birds. and levies heavy fines on those that fuck with them. This is due to the fact that unchecked hunting, for sport and the clothing industry, pretty much decimated a lot of the local species during the early parts of the last century.

The only people authorized to keep and care for native migratory birds are registered rehab folks, and ravens and crows fall into this category.

Some states do allow ownership of non-native corvid species, so you'll see them from time to time. They're smart birds, and if you raise them from the time they're young, they're manageable, and can be restrained using the same restraint systems used by falconers.

Like parrots, corvids are social birds and require a lot of interaction for their health, which doesn't make them a very good pet option for working people that can't stay home to be with them.

they are not as cute when they carve out a live lambs eyes
>>
Moscowfag here, can confirm it's Moscow.

People love to ride the metro with their animals and cause disruption to other passengers. I can't count the number of times I've seen someone riding with kittens only to have the kittens escape and climb all over the train while everyone has to search for them.

This is why I can't openly appreciate crows and ravens, I'll just get associated with freaks like that. They're so damn interesting too, it's a shame.

honestly if our hair and clothes are fine and your back is straight and your eyes are clear, you can do whatever. If legal
