Do you mean like eating "junk food"? We did evolve eating that, put very simply. That's why we crave it so much. "Junk foods" are calorie-dense foods that were hard to come by but would provide a lot of energy. People who naturally sought them out and ate as much of them as they could were the most likely to survive.

It's just that now that we have an abundance of these foods, unlike before, our biology hasn't had time to catch up. We still have unending cravings for it, even though in these available levels it does more harm than good.
