Anyone know what kind of fish this is?

It's a bichir. Why is it in a fucking jar?
And I just saw that it's not your image.

You're welcome. They are incredibly interesting to keep by the way but also get quite large. If you're thinking about keeping one be sure to read up on them first. I'd recommend a senegalas if you're newer to aquaria. They're inexpensive and generally much easier to get to feeding on pellets in my experience.

I'm taking a guess they're transfering it or something.

Polypterus senegalus or bichir eel like the first guy said. It's a cool as fuck fish. You can buy basic ones for about $5 and there are more rare patterned ones that cost much more. Set up a 20 gallon tank and watch him search around the gravel looking for food and just lurking in hiding spots. They're one of my favorites.
