My little guy is nearly 9 right now.

>Cat lives with aunt due to reasons
>He ends up with kidney stones
>Work prohibits going down to see him
>Pay vet bills to cover special kitty food
>Several months pass without incident
>Suddenly little guy refuses to pee in litter box but will pee in newspaper-lined crate
>Little guy had also peed on two different door mats
>Aunt's going to take him to the vet to see what's up
>She's afraid he may have to be put down if he can't stop peeing on door rugs

Work is letting up so I can get down there sometime next month but right now I'm upset and fucking scared. He loves being right up against the nearest person and he loves being held. He's gentle as fuck.

My cat looks old in a similar way, eyes don't look so good anymore and the fur is a bit messy because he barely takes care of it anymore, so I'm doing it.
I hope he at least gets another nice summer and stuff.
