Sorry, I got distracted and I thought we were talking about pollinating. I usually give them ants I find. They never digest the whole insect, only the juices.

Just stick em near open windows, the flies just kys themselves on them. Never fed my flytrap and its doing fine.

The three plants have bloomed, now I will pollinate them.

I've heard some people say if you can't find bugs for a flytrap to just give em pieces of ham and they can live on that. Is this true?

Yeah they can digest anything small enough. Food isn't really needed at all though. They can survive off the few soil nutrients in peat just fine.

Mine are inside of my house. There is a lot of light but not direct sun or extremely temperatures. I water them with distilled water when I see the under plate dry.
