Are we allowed to call reptiles reps?
Herping is the act of searching for amphibians or reptiles. The term, often used by professional and amateur herpetologists, comes from the word "herp", which comes from the same Greek root as herpetology, herpet-, meaning "creeping".
btw, that leopard gecko is upside down, and - unlike most other geckos - they do not have the sticky feet necessary for this sort of thing. They've got tiny little claws like a mouse, and long pink tongues like a human.

Best to layer the floor of the cage with kitchen towels. They need a heat mat (under the kitchen towels) but are OK without a special lamp. They eat locusts.
Yes, you can call them Reps. Or Sneps, for the ones without legs.
