So I just got through my first attempt at making rose water

smelled like shit, looked like shit and didnt taste like anything at all really. Used some unknown rose from my backyard so maybe they're just shit-tier

Gonna try again with the white roses in my front yard, they small much nicer. Any tips on how to be more successful in this? I want to make syrup eventually

Just put the roses that smell better or the ones you like the most. It's the same recipe as the orange blossom water and here in Spain we use it to make desserts so you can try it if it goes well ^-^
