>>2363518
are you sure it's a box turtle? those guys don't go in water. well at least not the eastern ones
>>2363538
no no no. you're supposed to put them where they were crawling TO. otherwise they will just go to cross the road again. it most likely has a nesting site on the other side
>>2363586
Yes it was a box turtle. I didn't know that at first and put him in a shallow dish of water to cover my bases until I did some research and was certain.
>>2363588
Calm down, you're reading too much into my words. I read the situation and put them wherever makes the most sense. Sometimes it is obvious where they are going and I put them there. Sometimes it's not so you just have to find a nearby "safe spot" and hope that helped.
>>2363781
ok my bad. I'm used to most people on this board being idiots

It sucks nig, I get fucking hyped when I see squirrels but it seems all it is are lots of feral cats and rats. I want to live in the north west, they have rabbits, snakes, turtles, God, why couldn't I be born in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, USA, I would herp all the time.

Hot dawg, y'all got some great pics and animals in your neighborhoods. Makes me wanna go out and take some pics, but I don't think I'm rural enough for the truly cool stuff.
I got two of these in my garden pond - looks like any regular UK green garden frog, but red. No idea why they've turned red!
>>2365641
hope they don't have chytrid
Baby mantis in my yard
>>2364017
Northern Mockingbird
>>2365694
Never heard of this, but just googled it, and it don't sound good! However, I don't think these frogs have it, they've been around for at least a year, and from what I've read it kills amphibians pretty quickly. Also, is turning red really a symptom?
>>2365926
I know the underside turns reddish like this. those legs are normally white
>>2365926
>>2365931
here's a pic with a comparison
Where do you guys live? Im in Illinois the only backyard animals i have are beetles, flies, fire ants, a shit ton of doves and crows, racoons and possums. No lizards or froggos unfortunately : (
>>2365934
I was the first dump guy. Coastal VA here. My house backs up to some swampy woodlands.
>>2365934
I'm in the middle of georgia. I dumped the fish, sneks, turtles, etc.. creeks and deciduous forests here. found this broadheaded skink today. excited because it's the biggest lizard in this state besides the legless ones. unfortunately I failed to catch the male one which are a little bigger and have bright red faces
Found this guy in my compost barrel
>>2367613
His brother chillin on my weeping willow sapling.
>>2367614
These fuckers fly into my house during the summer and drive my dogs nuts.
>>2367615
I only ever find these dead or badly injured it seems. My pupper found this one and fortunately didn't eat it.
>>2367616
Last summer our sink broke and I had to do dishes outside. There was always a most tupperware container and this guy would chill in there to escape the summer sun. Happy to see him back this year.
>>2367617
This is in the Sandhills of NC btw. I'm having trouble finding pics of all the butterflies, blue tailed skinks, hawks, and snakes I took last year.
>>2363520
i'd shoot the damn thing
