Just had my 5 1/2 border collie/Lab mix put down.

>had a build up of fluid in her abdomen
>took her to the vet to find out whats going on
>not sure if puppies or infected uterus but they wanna do exploratory surgery
>was perfectly fine still running and playing, wagging at the interns and shaking hands with people
>hour later
>she had a 10 lb tumor from her uterus that had spread and was connected to her lungs
>also tiny spots of what looked like tumors on her other organs
>had lost much blood
>chances of her making it off the operating table were tiny
>even if she had made it off the table they said she could still likely pass away at any time and doubtful she would have lived past 6 months with how aggressive the tumor(s) were spreading
>even the Doctor said he's never seen a tumor as large and aggressive as it was in a dog

Already through a 6 pack and about to go dig her a hole, going to pick her up in the morning to bury her
