Found this little guy while walking my dogs this morning. Can anyone identify it? I live in Northwest Florida.

Here's a pic from another angle. I'm used to seeing snails in the morning but this is the biggest one I've seen around.

Hey, that's Pascal.
Haven't seen him in a while.

He is a Rosy Wolf Snail, Euglandina rosea. They're invasive in the area. Also fuck GALS, whenever I try to find out certain snail species in my area, I have to get bombarded with articles about those fuckers. I haven't even seen a GALS yet, and everybody's freaked out by them.

That's a small dog, OP. Also those appear to be dead pine needles.

Well damn. I was hoping that this wasn't a juvenile GALS, so when I started reading your post I was relieved but as I kept going I felt crappy all over again.
I already left for work and I didn't catch it, so I have no way of disposing of it now. If I come across any more around my apartment again, what's a humane way of getting rid of it?

Wait, I was wrong, they're native. They've been introduced in other areas. Actually, they predate on other snails including GALS. At least that's what this website is telling me.

I'd say leave him.

Wew you did me a frighten there. Thanks anon!
>>

Those are car keys, they are fairly common but quite difficult to find most of the time.

apparently they've extincted 8 native snail species in hawaii.
