That's not a Terrarium.

What do you think the first terrarium was, precisely?

Except it was just a glass jar with random shit thrown it.

>It was some time around 1829 when, pursuing his interest in entomology, Ward saved the pupa of a moth in a 'Natural environment' in a sealed jar. History does not clearly record the fate of the moth, but after some time he noticed that a fern and some grass had started to develop in the soil at the base of the jar. His curiosity for how long the ferns could survive in this sheltered environment led to one of the most important botanic/economic discoveries of the Victorian age, the Wardian Case.

Add some clover to your jar. It's one of the better looking weeds and fits smaller terrariums pretty well.

Sorry op your terrarium is cool I have a few glass lanterns with succulents that I've had for about two years and love them.

Seriously though I hate /an/ it's filled with dorks who get worked up over the most retarded things. Every thread on here now is a "I hate people who keep Bettas in cups and declaw cats" kind of thread. Sure those things are bad but we don't need every thread with that retoric. Just end this board already if that's all it's going to be.
>>
>>2359513
bless you anon.

I remember when /an/ was good. I think I might do air plants or succulents next. most likely succulents cause they look neat

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivarium
>There are various forms of vivarium, including:

Aquarium, simulating a water habitat; for instance a river, lake or sea; but only the submerged area of these natural habitats. Plants in the water will use some nitrogen present within the system, and will provide areas for organisms to hide and forage.
Insectarium, containing insects, arachnids, and other similar arthropods.
Formicarium, with species of ants.
Terrarium, simulating a dry habitat, for instance desert or savannah. A terrarium can also be formed to create a temperate woodland habitat, and even a jungle-like habitat. This can be created with pebbles, leaf litter and soil. By misting the terrarium, a natural water cycle occurs within the environment by condensation forming on the lid causing precipitation. Many kinds of plants are suitable for these habitats, including bromeliads, African violets and Crassulaceae. Animals commonly held for observation include reptiles, amphibians, insects, spiders, scorpions and small birds.
Paludarium, a semi-aquatic enclosure simulating a rain forest, swamp or other wetland environment. It also can be seen as an aquarium interconnected with a terrarium, having both the underwater area as well as the shore.
Penguinarium, containing penguins.
Riparium, a new kind of planted aquarium system that recreates the wet habitats found along the edges of lakes, rivers, ponds and streams. This zone hosts marginal plants, which are rooted in the saturated soil at the edge of the water, but hold their leaves up in the air. Unlike a paludarium however, ripariums do not have a significant land portion, making them unsuitable for most amphibians. Instead, they utilize specialized planters which either hang onto the sides of the tank or float on the water's surface.
I bet you think tortoises aren't turtles too

are vivariums not allowed?

What type of carnivorous plants could I expect to survive in a misted viv? I wanted a mix of nepenthes and tropical sundews.

It's kinda sad, and funny at the same time. Glad he got BTFO'd.

How do you get the dirt to run up the side of the glass?

Sweet fictional Jesus, man, cut back on the roids.

You are obviously the same belligerent autist that has been shitting up the threads on /an/ all day with your ridiculous nitpicking.

What the fuck do you possibly get out of it?
