It's swarm season again, how are your hives doing? Got any fun stories of chasing/catching swarms?
Do you?

Not super exciting, but we just had package day where I work. Got 600 3 lb boxes from Georgia. There were so many goddamn loose bees in the shop that I set up a pheremone+queen trap and actually managed to get a solid bundle. Installed them about two hours ago into an old nuc so my fingers are crossed that they actually stick around and establish themselves.

MY dad had to split his hive recently. The queen had actually run out of room for all her eggs.
Related; the new (hopefully) hive.

Oof, yeah. Time for that too. Getting a new population going is fun, but fuck buying the new hive parts. That shit's expensive.

Fortunately we've got a bunch from older hives lying around.
