they don't need wings, they make parachutes out of webbing and paraglide around on wind currents
believe it or not there are actually millions of spiders flying high above you in the jetstreams right now
what if wings were spiders

THIS.
And they also love to fucking fly right into your fucking face all the time.
They're no danger at all but it still works nicely to make your neck hair curl when it happens at fucking 3am at night.

fucking hate these things, they fly like they're already three quarters dead and if I see one in my room I can't relax until I've finished the job, which is surprisingly hard to do because even though they clearly don't have any kind of functioning central nervous system.

You know their mouthparts are incapable of hurting you, right? I hated them too until I grabbed one and held it and took it outside like I do moths. Now I just treat them like moths. They're completely harmless to humans as adults, and their larvae eat mosquito larvae, we call them skeeter eaters here. They're almost as bro-tier as honeybees, you shouldn't kill them.
I think youre thinking of ladybugs
flying activities require a pretty much developed sensation for lights.
they'd restore compound eyes like their ancestors had possessed.
Last year I was sitting on a bench and had a small spider with these tiny wings land on my legs. It just kept flying back on to them whenever I shook it off
It'd be pretty unpleasant

that could mean 10, 12 or 14 limbs. Cool

What if cats could fly and catch birds in the air?
