what are the most aesthetic animals /an/?
what is he?

She. She's an orchid mantis or hymenopus coronatus. I'm not OP, but I have three.
I also have two of these.
>>2355617
u're pretty cool
can u pet them?
>>2355652
Of course.
They're either incredibly smart, or look like they're smart. They'll look you in the eye, and will look over at what you're doing. They'll chill by my computer and watch the screen when I play video games, or chill on my arm and watch Netflix with me.

Pictures, I need pictures, these things are amazing.

I don't have any on my computer. But I have a video of me screwing with one of my ghost mantis.

huh.
I kind of want to have sweet tender love with that predatory insect.
But I'm not about to cheat on my deer-fu.
Birds, insects, and reptiles all tend to be really aesthetic. So sad that mammals are mostly boring.
mudkipz
aren't you constantly afraid you might squish her? what with her being an insect and all?
have you tried putting her on your dick?

Do orchids bloom year round? If not, do the mantises change their camouflage during part of the year?

those are some pretty gud sneks
Holy moly i get diamonds seeing these (bush vipers)
>>2355874
They look like little red and black ants when they're born as a mimic camouflage, since many predators avoid ants.
Then the females will turn pink or white, while the males will be a muddled brown and white, and not get very big.
Then the full adult females will grow wings in their final molt, and usually be mostly white. Orchids are coolest looking when they're sub adult females, and that's what you'll usually see pictures of.
If you're interested in mantids I made this shit.

Welcome here newfag

I wonder, does mantises uses any kind of venom when attacking prey? Or is it only surprises and strength?
Love them.
Probably fish or birds
Reptiles and amphibians are also beautiful, but many spend most of their time hiding so they aren't really good display pets.
Fish are literally just home decor for a lot of people.

It's colorful but not aesthetic, for it to be aesthetic it shouldn't be fucking ugly and the colors should match
