They have teeth and they're very very aggressive. Winning a fight with a goose isn't worth getting rabies and/or tearing my clothes, anon. So yeah like most humans I try to avoid those assholes. The downside is that people end up looking like pussies. But they will not leave you alone until you either back down or they are dead. How hard can they bite? Is it just a pinch? I fed a goose bread once at first it started hissing at me and lowering it's head but then I held some bread out and it ate it out of my hand. It stopped hissing after that.
