I found something like that in my backyard once. At first I thought it was like a giant chunk of styrofoam or a deflated volleyball or something. Until it fell apart and a bunch of wood lice crawled out of it.

Has anyone here eaten false morels?
cobalt crust is beautiful
>>2358647
I know a lot of rural populations do here. They are traditionally eaten by some.
I would never recommend them, and neither would science. I get in plenty of debates about how the fact that your grandpappy ate them and lived doesn't mean it is safe.
Some one please ID this baby
