if it makes you feel better, my dog who was on the verge of death a week ago and the vet was recommending euthanasia has more more or less made a recovery and can even climb up and down stairs on his own now.

he was mauled by an off-leash dog at the park

Fuckin kek, my parents in law have a retriever who also completely misses every catch as well. He's still the happiest little pupper anyways.
