What should I do with these tanks, /an/?
>>2339562
Give them to me if you live in Charlotte, NC.
>>2339562
Give us the measurements boi
>>2339575
Two 10 gallons and one I think is 20
>>2339578
What kind of pet do you want? There are many reptiles that fit in a 20-gal, for example
>>2339581
I'm fine with anything that isn't an iguana
>>2339562
Iguana in the 20 and shrimp in one 10 and a crayfish in the other
>>2339585
Things you can keep in a 20gal:
-Leopard gecko
-Fat tail gecko (basically the same as a leo but needs more humidity)
-Some species of dwarf geckos (central american banded, clawed, etc)
-Small species of day geckos (like gold dust day geckos)
-Anoles or small skinks
-Dart frogs
-Axolotls
There's more, but that's just an example.
Things you can keep in a 10gal:
-Previously mentioned species of geckos (only as babies or juveniles)
-An anole
-Some species of small frogs
-I think some scorpions and spiders can do well in a 10gal, not sure
-A pair of dwarf hamsters
You can also keep plants in them
>>2339562
You can't keep hardly anything in a 10g and I don't recommend you purchase pets based purely on what can fit in it. What are you looking for in a pet?
>>2339594
I am thinking of putting my crested geckos in one of the 10gs, but I like reptiles that are fun to watch and be handled from time to time
>>2339593
Also forgot, if you flip the 20gal you can either keep one gargoyle gecko or a crestie
>>2339606
Well, both my crestes are babies, do you think they can live together?
Has anyone ever tried to bridge 2 aquariums? I have 2 10 gallons as well & i am thinking of connecting the 2 for a school of tetras
>>2339562
You could donate them to a shelter
Trade on cl for bbbj
>>2339562
If you don't have an immediate use they're probably good for donating
>>2339733
GRAVITY DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY
>>2339562
Tanks are shit for reptiles and amphibians. I recommend some kind of invertebrate like giant snails.
>>2339610
If you were to house them together you'd need a bigger tank. Even so their presence would stress them out and could lead to bullying and fights. Sometimes things can look alright and suddenly one day you find one of your geckos has bite marks all over
>>2340048
>tanks are shit for reptiles and amphibians
Why? What do you recommend then?
>>2340043
Yes it does
>>2340049
I decided against housing the together because of >this and when they arrived there was one hatchling and one sub adult (I ordered two hatchlings) so I decided to set up pic related for the hatchling
>>2340738
Forgot the pic
>>2339562
You could get some tarantulas.
They don't require much space so they wouldn't grow out of them. And with some simple modifications you can even house tree-living species in there which are usually the most interesting looking. Ex. P.Metallica
>>2340050
He's probably a cuck that prefers tubs. I love my tank for my snake
>>2339593
Sand boas
And garter snakes would love the twenty gallon.
Small fish tank in the twenty also.
>>2340050
tanks have bad ventilation compared to terrariums
>>2342438
Lamps and coconut fibre for a ball python.
Oh boi.
Ball pythons don't require much humidity. Coconut moss is a a bad substrate for them it gets in their pits and mouth, and is overly humid. Lights dry out the air too much for a good shed. You'd see a huge improvement with aspen and no lights
>>2339562
Snails OP
Cute and easy and relaxing and they huddle together to sleep and make villages.
>>2342883
My humidity is 60% and I have an under tank heater as well. I have yet to have issues with it getting in her mouth or pits
>>2342921
>unzips anecdote
yeah, people never have issues until they do. then they bitch about how they can't afford a vet
>>2342924
I can afford a vet and I seriously doubt there will be issues. I have a layer of mulch I'm gonna put on the coconut too
>>2339562
lambs
>>2342959
> i can afford a vet therefor i am willing to put my animal through unnessecary risk so i don't hurt my ego because multiple people told me my care wasn't on par.
>>2343246
I spelt a few words wrong. English isn't my first language but you get what I'm getting at.
>>2343246
I'll let you know if she dies ok? :)
>>2342882
tank is an informal word you retord
>>2343246
And I'm not putting her in any risk. I've yet to find one person who's had the issues that you're describing with it. My care for my animal is just fine. Let's see your reptile setup
