What's the verdict on these
flying rats, /an/?

I think they're cute, intelligent, and love them, too bad they shit on everything and transmit disease

Rock Doves shit everywhere and I caught a pair screwing on top of my car in a parking garage.
Mourning doves are superior Columbidae.
They make a pleasant cooing noise and are super friendly (though shy at first).

Pigeons don't transmit any more diseases than wild birds in general do.
>>2336779
they're cool
>>2336779
They make great target practice
>>2336846
Stop licking them and it won't be a problem.

>Dat first vid
I've been bamboozled for years. I always thought that was owls.

It is simply one of the most hated bird, despite actually being arguably one of the greatest, fascinating, complex, intelligent, overall fastest (in terms of flying straight), adaptive, and tastiest birds on the entire planet

Totally underappreciated by a significant margin.

Similar to dogs and horses, pigeons were some of man's greatest helpers. They were used to deliver messages for miles since ancient Rome, to even in warzones of WW1 and WW2

Why don't you tell me to stop breathing too?
I feel like pigeons are exactly the animal that we deserve, they're an appropriate companion to human environments.
I think they're cute and funny.
Wood pigeons are funnier though.
Since there are so many of them, everyone can observe that not all the pigeons are the same, most are dumb, while some of them somehow have clearer heads. Always interesting to see that in non-mammals.

You a kiwi mate? I love wood pigeons.

So much this

>It is simply one of the most hated bird,
But aren't those sparrows? Those fuckers are flying cancers
>>2337700
Na man, UK. We get wood pigeons here in done parts though.
I think it's because they're bigger (and usually fatter) than regular pigeons/rock doves; and their eyes look a lot beadier than a pigeons so they always look kind of goofy.
At my dad's they would always crowd the bird feeder and get chased around the garden by his rabbit. If they were on top of the feeder though (one of those low lying table types) the slight advantage in height it gave them made them braver and they would try pecking the rabbit.

What's wrong with sparrows? I've never seen anyone hate on them.
>>2337721
I've never seen people hate on sparrows though I know why people would. they're too small so everyone just thinks they are cute
>>2337843
I'd imagine it's because there's a million of them and so that's a million little pooping/eating machines taking over.
>>2336878
Sure they do
>>2337765
So cute. Ours are a different species, endemic to NZ. They are very very fat and make a lot of noise when in flight because they are so big.

What a majestic creature
>>2337918
Canker/frounce can't be spread to mammals
>>2337850
Because they're introduced to North America and are invasive. They kill and displace many native song birds.

Right
