Not quite as snappy, but the cause is pure speculation by the owner. Outdoor cats get into fights, they get hit by cars, they can get bitten/scratched while hunting, and they can get randomly kicked in the face regardless of whether they're a Kitler or not. Losing an eye isn't unusual at all.

Do you know how many one-eyed cats there are out there? It can easily happen fighting another cat, or a rat, or any prey feisty enough to scratch and bite at the cat's face when it's seized. It could have even happened after the cat was rummaging around in the bin or had fallen in and injured itself on broken glass or sharp metal. It might even have been the result of a kick or a thrown object, but there is nothing besides the owner's speculation to suggest that this particular one-eyed cat was specifically targeted for looking a bit like it has a moustache.
