I don't know why or for what purpose, but I do know a vegan diet is especially unhealthy for a cat.

The only time a vegan diet should even be considered is for medical reasons(I have seen somebody who had a dog with alleegy issues but that's about it)

Otherwise, if you want a vegan friendly pet. Buy/adopt a pet that would already eat a vegan friendly diet anyway.
