Indoor. I have outdoor buns and I just don't get the point unless you can either give them a very, very nice life outside or they're meat rabbits. They're generally less friendly, it's easy to forget about them, they can get all sorts of parasites and possibly diseases depending on where you live, and they generally live longer indoors. If you're going to get a rabbit, just wait until you can get one from a good breeder and litter train it and such so it can live inside.

So, I don't have a rabbit myself, but I have a flat mate who does. And sometimes, the little fuzzball runs up to me, headbutts my ankle, and then runs away.

I just learned this the hard way. It fucking sucks. I never intended to keep a rabbit, but she crawled into my life by accident, and I can't believe how close I got to her (who I thought was a him for five years). Fuckin bun bro.

Also listen hard to the advice on pellets. I was never certain how much hay intake mine had. I gave her a small handful of Oxbow pellets before bed and she had unlimited hay available at all times, but I rarely saw her munching on it like she does with pellets. Fuck. Did. Like she did. Fuck my life.

That's surprising that yours likes smooth flooring. Mine would never in her life touch the kitchen or bathroom floors. Loved carpets. When I first moved into a real apartment after living with her in a semi-renovated garage with smooth cement floors for a year, she binkied hard on the carpet for like a week.

Was wondering if anyone could help give me a clue. Just lost both my Dutch rabbits. First one I witnessed die. Was in the garden, she dropped down having a seizure and within a minute was dead. I put her body back in the hutch for a few hours so her sister could mourn and come to terms with her death / realize she was dead and removed her sister after about 4 hours later. 3 days later went to let the sister out of the hutch and she was dead as well.

Both were 4 years old with their boosters etc... but I can only assume disease. I was actually looking to adopt another rabbit as well before she died so the sister wasn't alone.

Anyone have any idea as to what it could have been?

I read so. For me, when Coke pissed on my bed/couch or bit me. I would loudly snap "no" then put him in a cage he doesn't sleep in, but with water and hay, for an hour or so, then let him back out. Seemed to work.

>When I was little we had a rabbit that lived outside in a rabbit house for many years until it apparently died of old age
>When I was a teen she got another that lived in a cage indoors, long story short it ended up outside with our lab and died (I don't think our dog meant to kill it per se, because when we found out she was carrying the rabbit by the nape of its neck and there was no blood or bite marks on it)

Suggestions? I'm somewhat considering looking into proper pet rabbit ownership, getting her a rabbit that would suit her as a pet, and helping her litter box train/rabbit proof the house before I move out and/or my dad just buys a rabbit and builds another outside hutch
