Honestly i don't think they bond really with humans, many will argue it. I dont think it is. They love everyone and anything they can play with.

No that's really it. They're whole life is jump and wriggle around like idiots for hours, shit, piss and sleep. They don't really bond but they're very affectionate and interactive. You can take them on walks and they'll play with anything.

Some people just like the smell or don't mind it. They are very easy to litter trained too so it's not like they'll piss and shit everywhere. They're very fun but as I ranted in another thread, I just can't stand the smell no matter how clean everything is even though we had a big house with lots of circulation.

There's nothing quite like ferret antics than ferrets. Maybe mink but I assume they smell just as bad if not worse. Perhaps ermine if not only since they're smaller but they are not in the pet trade aside from some people with wild ones.

Some like different aspects of pets. I have cats and used to have rats, both very affectionate and bond. Rats smell bad though to me. My ferrets use litter boxes and have healthy solid poop.

I'm noseblind to them by now but my roommates, friends and guests tell me they either dont smell them or only smell them up close. I take very measures to make my space smell good (plus good diet and 0 ferret baths help reduce odor)

They have a natural musk. I love the smell, many ferret owners do, but handle one before you buy. Bathing them makes smell worse.

They are super friendly but realize some kits are usually bitey like puppies and might need to be trained better (it's easy). They get along with other ferrets and animals except small prey animals of course.

Don't feed marshalls ferret food or shitty kibble, it is not only very bad for the health but makes their poo look and smell very bad. Feed kitten kibble with real meat as first 2-4 listed ingredients. Look for protein over 40%, fat over 16%, and fiber under 4%. Their poo should look like tiny versions of cat poop, not runny, seedy, or gooey. You can feed raw which is supposedly best but most ferrets in petstores are imprinted on kibble, and you need to be very knowledgeable on raw feeding. Mine eat ziwipeak air dried cat kibble, stella & chewys freeze dry raw cat food (whichever has the highest fat/protein flavors), and lots of salmon oil drizzled on it.

They use litter boxes but not as dedicated to them in large spaces and they don't bury it, so scoop at least once a day or more. And prefer to use pellet litter cuz mine dig face first in fresh litter, their blankets/bedding get covered in normal litter and get stuck in their toes.

Thanks. I make them for my neighbors and friends. They're peanut butter, butter, some confectioner sugar, and crushed graham crackers. The chocolate is choco chips mix with peanut butter. I don't measure exactly. I bought a silicone paw mode from amazon. The paws are like 2"
