Hi guys this is usually where I come to cheer myself up. And I really need it tonight

>finally one day my friend decides to look after a dog from the rescue shelter

>the family fawn over it and forget about their troubles for a couple weeks

>dog gets the family to work together in looking after it
>less fights
>less shouting
>friend seems so much happier and everything keeps getting better

It's cancer. The mum has taken it really hard and depression and alcoholism have come back. They can't afford the treatment for it cause they're really poor.
I feel so fucking bad /an/
They've set up a go fund me page but I don't wanna get in trouble for spam or seem like I'm begging for money so I won't post it unless someeone asks. What do I do guys?

That's a real bummer, anon. Why not post the GoFundMe link on Facebook or other social media? If you or your friend has any friends they may be willing to donate some money. Does their vet have payment plans like Care Credit? It's obviously dependent on their credit score and it doesn't sound like they have good credit but it's worth a shot. Also, the animal hospital I used to work at would set up a little donations bucket at the front desk for situations like this. It was a pretty busy clinic and would get maybe $20 a day but at least it was something.

Sure thing. Just be sure that their vet clinic actually accepts it. If not, maybe look around and see if any other local clinics too. Fun fact: you can also use it for dental procedures.
