How many of you guys live a Vegan lifestyle?
>>
>>2313291
None with a working brain.
>>
>>2313291
Man is an apex predator.
>>
>>2313295
>>2313297
But what about the animals.
>>
>>2313297
Also you're wrong.
>>
>>2313308
They are delicious. That's what about the animals.
>>
>>2313313
Ridiculous haha hope you love cancer, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol.
>>
>>2313314
Studies have shown that vegans/vegetarians with a proper intake of required vitamins/minerals live up to five years longer. However they are up to 40% more susceptible to sever depression and on average are more unhappy with their lives. I'd rather be happy as fuck and die five years earlier thank you very much.
>>
>>2313318
Smoke cigarettes
>>
>>2313308
Eggs are great. I love wearing wool. My boots are leather. I couldn't live without milk products.
>>
>>2313351
"I love eating chicken ovaries." Wool is tacky, vegan leather is superior, milk gives you man boobs, good luck anon.
>>
>>2313357
Chicken ovaries?
How dumb are you?
>>
>>2313318
Yes, because eating meat guarantees you will be happy.
>>
>>2313308
I like them, but unfortunately I can't survive without meat at all and I fucking hate vegetables.
>>
>>2313291
i literally raise cattle for meat but i sometimes do pic related. cows are sweet but very diva-like.
>>
>>2313308
Isn't it peculiar that the facilities designed to breed/house/slaughter market animals are remarkably smaller than the massive sprawls of fields required to harvest all the crops that support your lifestyle?

You say "what about da aminals" when there are literally billions of cows and chickens in the world with AT LEAST secured homes and a consistent food source, and yet, we destroy thousands of miles of native habitat of essential and unique fauna and flora across the world to create huge tracts of farmland to gather crops.

So for the lives of farm animals you ""save"" that will end up at the slaughterhouse anyway, you support an industry that is slowly causing the extinction of wild species. Many of them are irreplaceable, whereas cattle are not.

There's a little food for thought. Maybe you should give that a try sometime.
>>
I'm vegetarian.
>>
>>2313406
Different poster but some pretty fallacious arguments there.

CO2 emissions, pollution and land clearing does far more damage than the 'massive sprawls' that cater to vegan product. That's not to say it's realistic to say tomorrow we are banning meat. But that's just a really bad argument and doesn't help meat eaters or your cause.

The second argument is short sighted. I'm not sure about the vegan in the thread, but any reasonable argument doesn't bring into population if animals and acceptable quotas that ambiguous and self serving.

Fair point about certain farms destroying reusable and sustainable land. But you'll find any level headed vegan don't like these operations either. They are generally run by companies exploring developing nations and paying corrupt positions in the process of securing said shitty farms.

The next point is strange. 'who cares if your parents are alive now, they are gonna die some day'. Bad retort, but equally as irrelevant as your point.

Not sure about animals supplied home? Some animal processing facilities are great. Most you and I buy from are not. Vegans again generally are against mass produced meat trades that have less than regulatory practices. But then again that's a bit self serving on my behalf.

Not sure about last point, Vegans killing extinct animals? I can't remember the last time I saw Vegans gearing up to cut horns off rino or getting in their heavy industrial machinery to clear land. I do know majority of vegan organisations donate profits to various environmental and animal welfare groups. Same reason Greenpeace have the ability to bring bullshit case after bullshit case against Japanese whalers to stop them from hunting here down under for example.

Continued..
>>
>>2313420
That aside, my discipline and life style doesn't make being vegan sustainable. I see the huge advantages it would bring a society on a commercial scale, and moralisticly (this is subjective), I be nice to use the fact humans didn't exploit animals as a bench mark of our civility and superiority.

Tldr ; edgy teens and people generally unwilling and incapable of critical thought bash in Vegans when in reality, the more there are the cheaper and better quality us meat eaters have it.

I too realise that I am fortunate enough to know Vegans that arrnt extreme in beliefs and very tolerant to others.

Anyone excited for when they can print meat incredibly cheap? Looks interesting, if someone has links or further reading they would like to share that would be great.

Apologies again for terrible grammar, on a phone.

>>
>>2313406
Are you completely retarded?
You realize that animals aren't just magically grown and that they need a shitload of feed and water that has to come from somewhere, right? And that a ton of habitat loss is because shit gets cleared out specifically for livestock to graze?
>>
>>2313425
Well yeh, he is. But Cheers for trying to convince him without coming across as a complete dick. Now this will only play out one of one way...
>>
>>2313426
Fair point, but if someone is already acting like that shitting all over people I'm not going to bother with a well thought out polite informative post.

Unfortunately once pretty much anyone gets to that level they are more concerned with justifying to themselves that they were right, instead of making sure they have correct information.
>>
>>2313291
I dunno. Tried vegan once. They don't taste as good as meat-eaters but they sure scream louder.
>>
i want you dumb faggots to spear an animal and eat its flesh raw, you are a weak out of touchpussy if you seriously couldnt handle it
>>
>tfw mental issues make you feel guilty as fuck for even wanting to eat meat

Its not bad when other people do it, just me.
>>
I hug my cows and hens but then I eat them. They are more delicious when raised with love. The only animal I refused to eat was our pig Antonio, smart cuddly motherfucker. But dad wanted a pork roast and the bastard was getting too big anyway. Rip Tony, I could have made a truffle hunter out of you, but we didn't have truffles in the nearby woods.

I was vegetarian for a couple years in my undergrad. Did a pretty shit job, super skelly.

I'm full on eat everything now though. It's hard to grow up camping and fishing and hunting and not eat meat.

Also Msc in trophic ecology and undergrad in Bio. Studying nature this much....it's way more inhumane than humans could ever be.
>>
>>2313583

To add to this

Most people I know who are vegan are women, who eat like 1000 cal a day and are fine.

I'm 6', 155 lbs, with a daily maintenance of like...2200 cal. And when I was lifting I was shooting for at least 100 gram of protons/day.

I hate this girls who post the
>muh 2 lbs of broccoli vs 2 lbs of beef nutrition facts

They have no idea how much 2 lbs of broccoli is..
>>

Obviously livestock should be kept in factory farms then...takes up less space

Eating plants in a way makes more sense as you'd be cutting out the middle man. A cow does get it's food by being veggy so if we just ate veggy food then it would reduce a lot of stuff and also give us more energy per plant death, however burgers are just too good.

I replied to you trying to post opinions as facts.
I also replied to calling everyone else ITT ignorant
I then pointed out how you and so many other vegans like to rub it in other people's faces that you believe your opinions are facts, and that you are smarter than everyone else.
Notice a pattern here?
I personally don't care what you eat. It's the fact that you have to act like such a pompous ass that I take issue with.
But I'm sure the problem is just me, and the fact that I choose to eat meat of course.
>>
>>2313694
Vegan diets are cheaper but ok anon lets see how much that medical bill will cost you later on.
>>
>>2313696
You're autistic.
>>
>>2313697

vegans diets are cheaper when you're buying the raw plants and grains. I don't know how many vegan lifters make their own protein shakes/supplements from scratch.
>>
>>2313690
Nah bruh the evidence is all over. A balanced diet is much better than a vegan diet. Being vegan for a human isn't natural nor is it a step towards evolution.
>>
>>2313699
Not an argument
>>
>>2313700

Also, if you're bulking, the amount of food you'd have to buy/consume might throw off the cheaper price.
>>
>>2313703
Where are your sources? This is not true veganism cures and prevents diseases. How is this not a step towards evolution? You're a slave to taste which in fact is very cheap nasty taste you've never eaten real food "bruh".
>>
>>2313706
>Has done no research but thinks he knows everything.
>>
>>2313710

well you can't prove me wrong either, just bringing up stuff to think about.

>>2313708

>step towards evolution

evolution has no direction, there is no "more evolved", environmental and other factors select for traits. Vegans are not the "next step" in evolution
>>

Also
>omg another fallacy
>>
>>2313708
>>2313713
So you're going to ignore the fact that a balanced diet works well? Vegan or "vegetarianism" doesn't cure anything. Do you not understand what balanced means?

Question for vegans; why don't ya'll keep chickens and eat eggs? As I understand most vegans aren't full PETA tier in that you believe even owning animals is cruel, and since chickens produce eggs no matter what it's not like with milk, so theoretically if someone were to have chickens that they took good care of there shouldn't be an issue with eating them right?
>>
>>2313739
You would think but vegans are stupid and elitists to boot. Consume/use animal product in anyway regardless of any benefit it may provide that animal and you get
>YOU'RE NOT VEGAN. YOU NEVER WERE.
>YOU WERE JUST A MURDERED ON HIATUS.
>YOU'RE A MURDERER AND THAT'S ALL YOU'LL EVER BE.
>MY CLUB MY RULES MY CLUB MY RULES!
It's very similar to how weak effeminate white millennial men take every opportunity to prove how not racist they are.
>>
>>2313594
I'm sorry anon.
>>
>It's a "you can't be kind and compassionate to animals but also eat meat because of my feelings" episode
>>
>>2313773
Daily reminder if you're a pet owner and "muh feelings" type vegan, then you're a massive hypocrite for supporting and endorsing the pet trade
>>
>>2313739
There are people stupid enough to believe every egg is a viable chick.
>>
>>2313739

they believe you're exploiting the animal by stealing it's shit
>>
So if I overhaul my diet and eat the same things a sane, healthy vegan would but include a few modest servings of quality meat, eggs, or dairy a few times a week, does that automatically negate the supposed health benefits of a pure vegan diet?

More likely it's comparing people who are more conscious of what they eat and opt not to eat meat as opposed to people who mostly disregard the quality and nutrition of what they eat.

Are there any studies that use this?
>>
>>2313800
there are no health benefits to being a vegan, it's purely a moral matter and since people are ideologically engaged to pushing that system of morals onto society, they lie out of their asses for what they perceive is a just cause.
>>
>>2313809
I wish this could be proven, but I know it still wouldn't shut up some of the faggots ITT.
>>
>>2313291
Not me. Fuck that shit. Animals are tasty and I'm healthy enough to not have any problems. That's all I need to be happy. Also I'm a life long fisherman.
>>
>>2313357
>Wool is tacky, vegan leather is superior
Opinion. Likely a biased one at that since you seem to be a vegan, thus you believe it's automatically better by default.
>milk gives you man boobs
Not really. Assuming you fucking exercise. This is coming from someone who normally drinks Almond Milk because I like its taste better (I still drink regular milk if I need to, though).
>>
>>2313739
I've read them saying shit like "You're stealing the hen's property. You wouldn't like it if somebody kept you for the stuff you made and took it away from you, even if they didn't harm you".
Vegans are idiots. I agree that being vegetarian can be healthy (also eating a balanced diet) but I won't ever understand not wanting to "steal" honey from bees, or wool from sheep, or using animals for medical testing.

Both sides are apologists stuck in echo chambers resorting to attacks and ad homs

Truth be told, humans are opportunists for the most part. Our last snapshot of evolution was being master survivalist so we eat what we can find. For the most part, that was plant matter and meat here and there.
I think the largest misnomer is that prehistoric men all had the same diet when it varied widely from region to region and even tribe to tribe.
But for the most part, most people ate more plant matter than meat, and some outliers had to eat more meat than plant matter.
That iconic image of caveman eating meat on a spit is a total crock of shit.

eating the eggs doesn't harm the chicken so you shouldn't even complain about that.

shaving sheep doesn't hurt them either, in fact, it helps them, by cutting it, they don't get hot in the summer and it doesn't weigh them down.

oh so if the cows die you want their death to be useless? By eating the meat and using every part of their body, you're not making the death meaningless.

really? Sugar does that, not milk.

Animals should not be needlessly killed.

Humans are of moral value.
There is no trait absent in animals which if absent in humans would justify the murder/exploitation of that human.
Therefore, we cannot deem animals as not having moral value, thus damning billions of them to lifelong torture and eventual murder.

No, the fact that we eat the animals does not justify murder. Meat is not needed and expensive to farm.
